THOROUGHBRED ASSOCIATION MEETS LEXINGTON. Ky., September 10. Thoroughbred Horse Association memlK-rs, in semi-annual meeting here last night, expresed the sentiment that the managers of the winter tracks at New Orleans and Havana should come to an agreement with the Thoroughbred Horse Association as to the amount of money to be added in stakes and purses in advance of announcement of their programs, to the end that there be harmony between the track managers, and the horsemen throughout the racing period and that there be 110 occasion for mass meetings of the horsemen during the winter to compel the track owners to raise purse values. President McDowell was empowered to appoint a committee, including himself, to meet and treat with representatives of the winter tracks and to come to an agreement with them as to the distribution in added money and to adjust any other problems that may have arisen. R. J. Mackenzie, George 1. Ronstelle, Richard A. Mason. C. C. Hall, E. M. AVeld. Gwyn Tompkins, R. L. Rose, E. AV. May, William AValker and Stuart Polk were elected to membership. A telegram of congratulation upon the accomplishments of the association for the betterment of racing was received from John H. Rosseter.
