Won easily; second and third driving. HUMMA, showing mucli speed. raCed into the lead in the first quarter, but had to be ridden hara through the stretch. B. B. JOHNSON was away slowly and gained steadily and but for suffering from interference in the last eighth might have won. BARS AND STARS raced forwardly all the way, but tired near the end. VERDE closed a gap and was running gamely at the end. HONDO ran a good race. MABEL TKAgK ran poorly. CLAYMORE ran like a good colt, raced into a good lead at once and, holding on gamely, held the others safe and won easing up. SAMS BOY moved up steadily after going the first qunrter and was gaining through tlie last eighth. WARLIKE came with a rush through the stretch. SWEEP JR. closed an immense gap from a slow beginning. OUR BIRTHDAY finished fast. GENERAL GLENN began badly and was always in the rear. The latter raced in closest pursuit and took the lead iii the stretch, but could not hold it. RAPID DAY was a bad last to the stretch, then came with a great rush. JANE PENNYBAKER closed a big gap in the stretch. AMERICAN ACE dropped far out of forward contention In the first three-eighths under a stupid ride and finished gamely when ridden hard.
