GELDINGS ALLOWANCE WITHDRAWN The three-pound allowance for geldings has been withdrawn from races run In New Zealand at standard weiglit-for-age. but clubs are still entitled to concede the allowance, if they feel so disposed, m races run at special weights. These include Derbys, St. Legers, etc. For some time past geldings have not received au allowance in the New Zealand Derby, but It is still provided for in the Great Northern Derby, run at Auckland.
