FREEMANTLE was under slight restraint for. -the first half mile and finished gamely under hard riding. LITTLE ED ran well, but tired after making a game effort in the stretch. BAR COV closed a big gap. LE BALAFRE quit in the last eighth. RUBBER II. set the early pace, but quit also. The winner, entered for ,000, was bid up to ,703 and bought in.
