RACING RECORD OF THE DEAD S0SIUS The eight-year-old plater Sosius died on his arrival at New Orleans after having contracted car fever. Before being shipped south W. II. Fizer bought Sosius from C. R. Richards, intending to race him at the winter meetings in the Crescent City. Sosius had an uneventful but busy career on the turf. He was a fairly consistent plater that more than paid his way. His racing began in 1913, and since that year the son of Solitaire II. was extensively campaigned, both winter and summer. Altogether he started in 108 races during seven -yiW on the turf ami wou twenty-seven of them, earning 7,440. His pedigree and record follows: Sosius, br. g. 1911, by Solitaire II. Aya, by Islington.
