FOUR STRAIGHT VICTORIES Tom McTaggart Continues on His Winning Way at Bowie. Pride of India to Race No More After Yesterdays Disappointing Performance. HOWIE, Md., November 21. L. Watorburys Tom McTaggart scored liis fourth consecutive victory and liis third at this meeting when lie defeated the best horses engaged in todays racing in the Premier Purse, the fifth race, at one mile, at Prince George Park this afternoon. Although leading by a narrow margin, Elisor bad him under reserve to the stretch, closely followed by Kashmir and War Smoke. When called on the son of Chnctanunda displayed good courage and shook off Kashmir under pressure in the final sixteenth. War Smoke raced on the outside of the leaders from the start and tired in the run home, although he was much rfhe best of the others. Scratches reduced the field to sis starters, which detracted considerable interest from the race. W. P. Burchs Pocatello, a two-year-old son of Mohawk II:,- graduated from .he ranks of maidens when he easily won the opening dash. He was away quickly, iet a fast pace throughout and had a three-lengths lead at the end. Iu the following race the filly Betsinda furnished a big surprise by winning with consummate ease, leading home the favorite by a wide margin. Bet-slmla paid" 1919.sh5.10 for in the mutuels and was entirely neglected by the speculative public. Another- blow to the talent came in the third race when the warm favorite, Pride of India, suddenly stopped and quit utterly after appearing a sure winner three-eighths from home. The winner was Incle John, which came away easily in the last eighth after Duke John tired from his early pace-making efforts. Following the disappointing performance of Pride of India in the third race W. P. Ilurch, who has charge of him for H. A. Porter, announced that he will not start him again. The horsa had moved up on even terms with Duke John at the stretch head today, and when Elisor hit him with his whip lie quit as if shot and was immediately pulled up. It is suspected that Pride of India has heart trouble. A
