EASTERN TURFMEN VISIT LEXINGTON LEXIXGTOX, Ky., Xovember 21. Messrs. J. E. Widener, George 1. Widenor, A. J. Joyner and Howard Lewis arrived here last night from the east to spend today visiting a number of the thoroughbred horse farms, going first to Harry Morrisseys Kempland Farm, where J. E. Widener has the stallion Mont dOr and a number of mares. Xext they went to the Xursery Stud to see Fair Play, and in the afternoon motored to Paris, Ky., to see Arthur B. Hancocks Claiborne Stud thoroughbreds. Messrs. William H. Miller and Frederick Johnson of Xew York motored here this morning from Louisville with Hal Price Headley for a short visit to Beaumont Farm. Horsemen here heard witii regret of the death today of Harney Sehreiber at Cincinnati. He was here for several days last week, and his last transaction in thoroughbred horses, of which he was so fond, appears to have been the .sale of his mare Latoua sister to Jack Atkin to Arthur H. Hancock. Thomas Piatt has purchased from John Harnett of Kingfisher, Okla., the nine-year-old bay mare Sainville, by Sain Florence Colville, by Hanover, and the noted race mare Vera, by King Alfonso.
