ENGLISH TRAINING COSTS INCREASED English training costs have advauccd greatly within the last six months and are going higher, owing to the recent reasonable increase in stable workers wages. It is calculated that it now is worth 0 per week to properly train and feed a horse at Newmarket. Doncaster, Epsom or Lam-bourne the English conditioning centers. On the lKint R. S. Sievier, editor of the Winning Post, and a trainer of wide and long term experience, writes: "At the present moment no trainer -doing his horses properly, finding all, can do so and live at a lower charge than 0 a week. We know. Hay is nearly, if not quite. 300 per cent higher than the pre-war price, oats have increased about the same."
