HAVANA TRACK DRIES OUT RAPIDLY Right Angle and Currency Practically Left at Post in Tuesdays Main Race. HAVANA. Cuba. February IV. — The summerlike weather of yesterday and today worked wonders to the Oriental Iark track wiih the result that when the bugle called the horses to the post for this afternoons sport the Mari.-inao course had dried out so rapidly that it was almost at its best. With the return of the same brand of ideal weather that has contributed so much to the success of the Cuba-American Jockey and Auto Clubs meet- ing Ibis winter a crowd of large proportions was on hand to witne-s today- racing. The out.-tandiiig incident of the afternoon came in tiie fourth race, the principal offering of a rather ordinary program, when Bight Angle anil Currency were practically left at the post. Bight Angle was Hie overwhelming choice in the race and his backers were stunned to sec him left standing at the neat Willi Currency. After the latter started in pursuit of the ethers it was discovered that Bight Angle had been caught in the barrier. Instead of pulling him up Atkinson sent Bight Angle after his opponents and he finished cl se up to Currency. In the meantime the others were having trouble also. Feasant, the -econd choice. Ix-ing crowded against the rail and shut off on the turn out of the hark stretch. However, he managed to seneeae Ihrough on the inside entering the stretch and. finishing rast. drew away from All Aglow right at the end.
