CANADIAN TURF BODY HOLDS MEETING Changes in Claiming Rule and Revision in Scale of Weights Among Other Things Discussed MONTREAL Quebec June 14 The Canadian Raring Associations held a meeting in the clubhouse at Blue Bonnets this morning previous to tlie races when several matters of importance were taken up The upThe stisi ensions imposed on J Price and Stuart Polk for a supposed collusion in claiming races were discontinued and both gentlemen restored to full privileges privilegesThe The recommendation of the horsemen for change in the selling race and claiming rule was discussed and a new rule will be drafted on tlie lines of the Kentucky claiming rule which means that claims will have to be lodged fifteen minutes before in ¬ stead of after the running of a race raceThe The suspension imposed on jockey Frank Murphy at Dorval by Francis Nelson the presiding steward at that meeting was continued continuedThe The scale of weights will be revised and raised the intention of the Canadian Racing Associations being to work in unison with The Jockey Club in the East and the Kentucky Racing Commission for a uniform scale through the country The new scale of weights will permit tlie older jockeys to ride more frequently frequentlyThe The meeting was attended by a full body among those present being W Mclntyre Colin Campbell A Dyment J II Madigan George M Hcndrie and Sir H Montague Allan who occupied the chair
