MANY IMPROVEMENTS FOR LATONIA NEW YORK N Y July M J Winn maii flger of the Kentucky Jockey Club tracks in the Jilue Grass State lias arrived from his home an Covington and was a visitor at the Empire City course Mr Winn says he will remain at the iilltop track during the entire meeting and then KO to Saratoga where he will interest the horse nen there in the rich stakes to be given in Ken ¬ tucky this coining fall He says the stake entries which will close August 17 will show large in ¬ creases over former years yearsImprovements Improvements contemplated at Latonia will be practically a new grandstand and facilities for handling the crowds which come on through trains Plans have been decided upon which will not ne ¬ cessitate persons coming to the races making the dangerous crossing of the railroad tracks behind the grandstand grandstandThe The old grandstand will be practically made new and an addition to it similar to that at Churchill Downs will be built This will cover the present pariinutiicl shed and the old betting inclosnre which has been an eyesore at I atonia for years
