The final yearling r- sale, comprising the offering of Mr. II. T. T. Oxnards Blue Ridge Farm in Virginia, consisting of forty-four youngsters, grandly bred and by such f noted sires as King James, Trap Rock, Superman, n Sir Wilfred, Fayette and Fcrole, attracted a big "g attendance at the ringside of the Fasig-Tipton n Companys sale mart Friday night despite threatening t- weather. The youngsters were disposed of ,f g for ii total of 7,700, an average of ,788.03. 3 Bidding was spirited, with the choicer offerings much in demand. The sale was voted satisfnetorv : in every respect, the buyer being satisfied with tl what he secured and Mr. Oxnard pleased with the 11 e total sum realized. The largest price paid was. for the, chestnut it colt by Superman Arlette, lialf-brothfjr to Mint Cat, which P. T. Chinn secured; for ,200. Mr. r Chlnn was an extensive buyer and was acting for f Lawrence Waterbury. The filly by Vulcain or Hourless Delusion attracted considerable attention and a lively bidding g . tilt ensued for her possession, with C. A. Stone-ham finally securing her for ,000.
