PROMINENT IRISH TURFMAN VISITOR NEW YORK, N. Y.. September 0. Among the visitors at Belmont Park last Friday was the well-known Irish racing man, F. Barbour. Mr. Barbour is the owner of quite an extensive stable in Ireland, and his best performer this year is Sir Huon, by Huon. the property of Mr. Richard Trimble, and now in the stud in Kentucky. Mr. Barbour said: "We are sorry that we ever let Huon get away from Ireland, as we have a number of good performers by him. They are big fine individuals with lots of bone. Racing has been big with us this year. In fact, the railroads have difficulty in handling the crowds. Horses are high, and you cant look at anything for less than four figures." Mr. Barbour sailed for home ou the Baltic Saturday. He was much impressed with the appointments of Belmont Park and thought it an ideal racing plant. Like all Irishmen, he wanted to see the "Ieapers," and was disappointed when there was no jumping race on the program.
