The latter raved in nearest pursuit of the winner nearly all the Way and was gaining in the closing strides. NIGHTSTICK, away forwardly. tired in the stretch drive. MARS MOUSE showed speed to the eighth post, where he tired. CUM SAII ran well. BRIGHT GOLD and GLEN LIGHT bolted to the outer rail after the start. RALCO was a forward contender for the entire race, but could not improve his position in the stretch. GOALER was hard ridden all the way. FREDERICK THE GREAT quit after going a half mile. NATURALIST was a prominent contender all the way, but swerved out in the last eighth and was weakly ridden in the. final, drive. MOTOR COP set the early pace and was cased up at the finish. PILGRIM saved ground on all the turns and, closing up rapidly when called- on, was wearing the leader down in the closing strides. BEST PAL ran poorly and could never improve his position.
