GRAND RACING AT BELMONT PARK AUTUMN MEETING Of TEE WESTCHESTER RACING ASSOCIATION REPLETE WITH SENSATIONAL AND RECORD-BREAKING PERFORMANCES Distinguished by racing of a high order, with the time record-breaking feats of Man o War and Exterminator as the outstanding features, the autumn meeting of the Westchester Racing Association came to an end AAednesday, September 15. During the fifteen days of racing there were seventy-two races run and 83,978 distributed in stakes and purses, the daily average distribution amounting to 5,331. Fifteen stake races were decided, including the famous Futurity and Lawrence Realization Stakes. The Futurity furnished a decided surprise in the defeat of Prudery and the victory of the outsider, Step Lightly. Man o War won the Lawrence Realization in the new American record time of 2:40 for one and live-eighths miles. The champion also established another new American record when he annexed the Jockey Club Stakes, running the mile and a half in 2:28. Exterminators record-breaking performance came on the closing day in the decision of the Autumn Gold Cup. These feats and the general high character of the racing served to bring out large crowds, and in every respect the meeting was a "big success. W. J.
