j BIG FRENCH RACE WON BY MACOMB ER Quite a triumph fell to A. K. Maconiber at Paris , October 10, when his two-year-old colts Fhusia, ridden by Frank ONeill, and Cortland, ridden by Garner, finished first and second in the important Grand Criterium Stakes. This Is about the most important French Stake race for two-year-olds and Is at a mile, with 0,000 added. The Prix du Conseil Municipal at a mile and a half, for three-year-olds and over,- with 0,000 added, was run on the same day and was won by F. Gnunetz four.-year-old colt Le Rapin, by Chulo Palette, by Fra Augelico ,wlth A. Eknayans four-year-old colt Dolphin second and Charles Lelnarts six-year-old horse Kings Cross third. In the unplaced division were Mr. Macombcrs three-year-olds Boscobel and Meddlesome Maid.
