RAIN FALLS AT LAUREL Mud Runners Have First Opportunity of Meet- ing Four Straight for Goldine. LAUREL, Md., October 28. Soft going prevailed at Laurel Park this afternoon for the first time during the meeting. Rain which fell last night left the course sloppy, and lowering clouds kept down the attendance somewhat, but the crowd on hand had better success in battling the "iron -men"" than is usually the case when track conditions change. Camoufleur, the four-year-old Astronomer colt from the stable of W. L. S. Martin, led home the best band of horses brought together iliis afternoon, winning by five lengths from Herd Girl and Wood Violet, Black Top, F. Hunt up, won the first race in the colors of D. S.
