TEN YEARLINGS SHIPPED TO TIJUANA BY F. L. McKBNNEY. SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., November 0. A carload of yearlings has been shipped from Pleasanton to Tijuana after being broken and given a preliminary course ot training. In the car were eight "babies" belonging to George Van Gorden, the veteran thoroughbred breeder and owner of Contra Costa County, aud two which are the property of the Meadowbrook stable. A majority of the Van Gorden youngsters are by the Brutus horse General Roberts, which has been fairly successful with limited opportunities. In the band i a trim chestnut filly frcm Rose Cherry, dam of Rose Marian, Silvery Light and other good racers. Three of the yearlings are by Reformation, a bay sou of the Ormonde horse Ossary and the Ben Brush mare Future Bright. Thp Meadowbrook yearlings are a Joe Carey Las Flore colt .and a Honeywood Decency colt. The thrce-year-dlds Bill Blackwell and Duncan S. Murray, Tcccntly sold by Svcn Christeuson to the Meadowbrook stable, which is the nom de course of two wealthy oil men, were shipped along with the yearlings. George W. Berry, the well-known trainer, has charge of the Meadowbrook horses.
