TWO-YEAR-OLD RACING AT TIJUANA Many of the 1021 Crop to Begin Their Careers at the Lower California Track SAN DIEGO, Cal., November 12. The- two-year-old is going to play an important role in the coming winter racing season at Tijuana, which commences on Thanksgiving Day. Every eastern reservation brings word that the present yearling is among the invading stock and with the number of western juveniles on hand some splendid competition should result. President James W. Coffroth, in. his distribution of stakes, had the two-year-old in mind and a Tijuana Futurity of 5,000 and the Juvenile Stakes, worth 1,500, have been set aside for the exclusive running of the two-year-old. A large patronage has been received for both stakes from the horsemen and more stakes may be added for this age after the meeting commences. Considerable interest has been aroused In the two-year-old racing out West because of the near-by debut of the progeny of George Wiugfields A the-llng II. on the American turf. Much has been written about the splendid looking stock that has been shipped here by Wingfield and there are those who believe they will run right up to their looks. The Atlieling II. progeny carry all the markings of their English daddy and are large of bone and muscle; in fact, larger than any that have been produced in this western country. Interest in the Wingfield stock has been increased, too, because some of their dams have had proud racing careers of their own out West and which are to be represented for the first time. Thistle Belle. Gladiola, Celesta, Roselawn, Scarlet Oaks, Envy, Maid of Avon, Anna May and Alice Carey are some which will have their offspring" go to the races. More Enfield, Honeywood, Sigurd, Gladwin and General Roberts two-year-olds will go to the races. Irish Exile, a son of Cunard, will have six colts. Two-year-olds from Texas and Missouri will arrive by the carload, while many of the more fashionably bred eastern two-year-olds are also on the. way. .
