GIPSY QUEEN began slowly, but moved up rapidly and was going fast at the end. THE NEPHEW ran -a good race.-buti.lost ground by coming wide on the1 last turn. RUBY tired after racing well to the last eighth.. BELLE OF ELIZABETHTOWN set a good pace to the stretch. BRIG OF WAR had no mishaps. TALISMAN quit iu the last quarter under a bad "ride. TRIBUNE raced prominently from the start and had to be hard ridden in the stretch to outstay CASTLEREAGH, but won going away. The latter showed the most early speed und held on well in the stretch drive. ELEANOR S. had no mishaps and raced forwardly from the start. FANTOCHE tired in the homestretch. BROWN CHECK was best, but was away slowly and suffered from interference, -which cost him the race. MISS FONTAINE closed a gup and finished fast. MACHIAVELLI raced into the lead and quit badly right at the end. GOLDEN QUINCE also quit badlv in the homestretch. The others were never serious contenders. Scratched 51313 Alvin T.
