CROWNING TURF TRIUMPH Exterminator Adds to His Laurels by Winning Pimlico Cup. Duplicates His Success of Last Year in Same Race and Establishes New Track Record. ; BALTIMORE, Md., November 12. "VTillis Sharpe Klluiers Exterminator scored the crowning triumph of Ills honorable career in -winning the two mile and a quarter Pimlico Cup this afternoon. This five-year-old gelded son of McGee Fair Empress has accomplished some smashing deeds since he sprung into thoroughbred prominence in the running of the Kentucky Derby in 1918, and throughout the current season has been running races that have caused students of the sport to marvel at his endurance under weight, but none of his efforts has ranked with his accomplishment of today. Beginning alertly under the handling of Buddy Ensor, Exterminator followed close to the early leaders from the start under heavy restraint, went to the front on the backstretch in the second time round and out-gamed J. K. E. Boss Boniface in a thrilling drive. Keogh, astride the Boss racer, challenged Exterminator in the stretch. Down to the winning line the pair came as a team, with the Kilmer colors next to the rail. Fifty yards from the end Exterminator appeared like a beaten horse, for Boniface and come to the clinch with more apparent reserve power, but that great heart which beats under the girths of the McGee gelding would not ..be denied and ha manacelto poke his nose, out In front just as the pair slid across the line, while Boniface tired perceptibly in the last strides. Ral Parrs Paul .Tones ran third to Exterminator and Boniface. Donnaeona, Mad Hatter, Damask and The Trout completed the field. Exterminators victory in the Pimlico Cup duplicated his success of last year, when, with 121 pounds up, he ran the distance in the mud in 4:13. Today he made the distance over a fast track in 3:E33, thus clipping twenty seconds off the record for the course. His package today was 12G pounds, two pounds over his scale weight and top weight of all which opposed him. Exterminator gave Boniface twelve pounds on the scale. Max Hirschs Be Frank came back to the races and ran away from Dr. Clark and Belario ampng others of a shifty band which went to the post in the mile and eighth "Woodbury Handicap.
