HUNTING, FISHING AND SPORT. Fully a thousand moose and a large number of cartbou have been found on Island Royale, opposite Keweenaw Point in Lake Superior, according to Chief David R. Jones, of the Michigan sttate game department, who recently completed a. three weeks survey of wild life on tiie island. "We found plenty of evidence that moose are increasing rapidly, and that the caribou, while fewer in .number, are also increasing noticeably. Smaller game also Is found on the island in good quantities. Small bays aud inlets about the island abound with white fish, lake trout and other fish. The island is fifty miles long and about eight miles j wide. .
