TRAINER MILTONS GREAT HORSES j G. E. Milton, the French trainer, recently de- ceased, handled a great many of the great French turf performers of his time. For M. de St. Alary lie trained the famous mare Kizil Kourgan. the winner of the Poule dEssai, Prix Lupin, Prix de Diane French Oaks and the Grand Prix de Purls. He also had under his charge Basse Point a daughter of Kizil Kourgan, which accounted for the Prix Vermelli, Prix du Conseil Municipal. Grand Prix de Deauville and Prix Gladiateur, :is well as her son, Bruleur, which won the Grand Prix de Paris. Other owners for whom Milton trained some prominent winners were M. -Michel Marghilomaii and M. Vag-lianp. Milton, practiced for many years as a veterinary "surgeon at Cliantilly.
