SLEEPY DEAR was brought on the outside on the path when entering the homestretch and, taking .the lead, drew away to win in a canter. BERTHA MINIX tired after racing WISHING into defeat in the early running and taking the lead. CABIN CREEK began slowly and finished fast. KATHLEEN. BIANCA closed a gap and finished fast orr the extreme outside where the going was fairly hard and firm. MISERICORDE stumbled and fell to his knees at the eighth post, but finished gamely. The: latter attempted to come through on the outside, but was crowded and was then taken to the inside, but tired right at the end after getting to the leader. GALOPIN raced gamely, but tired. WHITE CROWN finished gamelj- on the inside of the winner and: met with some interference when FRASCUELO swerved over in the last few strides. BLACK THONG finished well. GOLD STONE ran poorly and can do much better.
