SUNNYLAND STABLES FINE RECORD I EXCELLENT MONEY - EARNING RACING OF THE GOOD HANDICAP HORSES IRISH KISS AND SLIPPERY ELM . IN THE CAMPAIGN OF THE PRESENT YEAR R. A. Smiths Sunnylarid Stable was raced for by thirteen horses this year. Two of them were good J enough to ornament any stable in the land, being the noted handicap horses Irish Kiss and Slippery Elm, Between them they won 3,058 of the 1920.sh2,410 gathered by the stable in 1920. The English-bred Irish Kiss seemed to have trained off in the fall, but when at his best in the summer was a hard horse to beat, his victories, among others, in the National Handicap at Hamilton, Independence Handicap at Devonshire and Detroit City Handicap at Kcnilworth being high-class demonstrations of his ability to run fast while carrying high weight. Slippery Elm is getting along in years, but is still an effective racer, as he showed when he won the 0,000 Frontier Handicap at Windsor and had such formidable antagonists as The Porter, Exterminator, Regalo and Paul Weidel among those behind Iilm at the finish. In comparison with these two real cracks, the other horses in the stable did not amount to much, still i were good enough to race usefully when placed right, and such as Ragnarok, Madrono, tltra Gold, Dottie 1 Vandiver, Mark West, Jean Bullant and Benevolent won quite enough money to pay their share of stable 1 expenses.
