JOCK SCOT dropped back soon after the start, but came with a great rush in the last eighth and would have won in another stride. PORT LIGHT ran a good race and made a game tinish. BRISK ran well. TRUSTY also finished close up. SWEET LIRERTY set a fast pace but quit in the last eighth. The latter raced in closest pursuit from the start ar.d, under good riding, outstayed TITLE. The latter had to come wide into the stretch and lost considerable ground, then finished close up. KUKLUX was going fast at the end. COCK O THE ROOST set the pace to the stretch and quit badly. CHARLIE LEYDECKER and YOU-NEED were caught in the barrier and left at the post. GLEN WELL raced into the lead in the stretch, but tired near the end. BAR ONE retired after going well for a half mile. BOND set the early pace, but quit.
