GiDDINGSBRENNER STABLE Fine Array of CanadianBred Horses Make Up String of New Racing Confederacy TOHONTO Out March 3 The H G hidings stable which will be raced under the name of Giddings Itrenner the latter having purchased a half interest in the twelve horses including the good sire Hearts of Oak are being prepared for the coming racing at the Giddings farm at Oak ville As usual the horses have wintered exceed ¬ ingly well they being entirely free from sickness or any other ailments Tlie horses are well ad ¬ vanced in condition and like the Giddings string of former years carry plenty of flesh fleshThe The pride of the stable is the Kings Plater Hoyal Visitor This threeyearold has not a blem ¬ ish and looks more like a showring animal than a racer In conformation lie resembles Springside that good threeyearold which won the Plate for George M llendrie some years ago During the winter he has filled out in laudsomo style and a glance at his powerful frame gives no worry about bis not being able to carry weight Coupled with Ibis fine quality lie has another admirable trait i traiti and that is iiis kindly disposition Last year his racing was confined to eight starts he winning winningi i three and being third once onceAnother Another Kings Plater is Chief Sponsor which as a twoyearold started eight iimes winning three races and being second once This horse has also filled out well during the winter and is i fine looking animal However probably the most mostI I improvement is shown in the filly Heath Itell The TheI I latter it will be remembered took fever last spring at AVoodbine and while she was able to win tvo races four seconds and two thirds in twelve starts during the summer yet she never seemed to recover from the fever The winters rest has accomplished wonders for her and while it is a rare thing for a filly to win the Kings Plate yet it has been done and may be done again this year In addition to Hoyal Visitor Chief S onsor and Heath Pell the stable has another Kings Plate eligible in the maiden brown gelding Oakling The latter started six times iast year and was not placed until his last Uvo starts when he finished third in each instance instanceThe The fouryearolds in the stable are Primo and the Kings Plate winner St Paul Polh have developed into finelooking horses with Primo having broad ¬ ened out more than the lanky St Paul PaulFOUR FOUR JUVENILES IN THE STABLE STABLEFour Four twoyearolds complete the list including a purchase last fall of the brown colt Hoyal Gift bv Aumer Kitty Jtrown from Mr Hoss of Krindale KrindaleIn In Puff Hall tin brown gelding by Hearts of Oak Purdctte they have a brother to Heath Itell while the filly Lady Heart is n sister to Iloyal Visitor and the buy filly Hearts of Hock by Hearts of Oak Panthea is a halfsister to St Paul All the twoyearolds have plenty of size and substance and their breeding is enough to convince one that they can run runThe The foregoing animals in addition to Captain I and Hearts of Oak are tin horses which will race under the colors of lliddiugs llrenner this year and if looks and condition count for any tiling the OakvilleToronlo connections should have a prosper ¬ ous year yearThree Three healthy looking yearlings are all the ju ¬ venile prospects that Mr Giddings has for next years racing but these include a brother to St Paul What appears to be the host of the year ¬ lings is the bay colt by Hearts of Oak Havarrte The latter is by Itassetlaw the dam being a Han ¬ over mare and is a new matron at the Giddings farm She proved barren this year yearOnly Only two other brood mares nre at the farm they being Pan then dam of St Paul which is in foal to Hearts of Oak ami My Honey the consist ¬ ent and great breadwinner for Mr Giddings My Honey has n chestnut colt by Hearts of Oak This is her thirteenth foal and of the number eight of them hiivii been winners Inil what a good brood mare she has been for the OflUvilli breeder IK shown among the following eight winners she 1ms produced in Bee Hive Omlramon Urituius Ally Ondradia Arniine Harry Ita ett II Iloyal Visitor and Primo PrimoHearts Hearts of Oak which surprised everyone by com ¬ ing back last year and winning through the field after four years letup is going to have a busy season in the stud this year judging by the num ¬ ber of iniiiiries that have been received for bis services and there is no reason why lie shouldnt enjoy a good year yearThe The list of horses is as follows followsFour Four Year Olds OldsPrimo Primo ch c by Plaiidmore My
