GOOD CROWD SEES WHEELING RACING WHEELING W Va April 21 Jockey E Smith carried off the riding honors today For showing a tendency to do some rough riding on Corkey W Smith was warned by the judges that a repetition means suspension This being ladies day the fair sex turned out in large numbers and despite the threatening condition of the weather about race time the attendance numbered fully 4000 As the afternoon progressed the skies cleared and the track remained fast fastThe The five day meeting of the Wheeling Driving Club will terminate on Friday but racing will be continued here for an additional five days under the auspices of the Wheeling Horse Fair Associa ¬ tion of which Hamilton Hunter is president and E M Johnson is secretary Some changes will be made in the racing officials during the latter meeting which will be announced tomorrow tomorrowFor For grabbing the bridle of Polygamist in the stretch during the running of the first race yester ¬ day jockey Voss was suspended indeiinitely Jockey Schlessinger was suspended for thirty days for striking another rider with his whip during tins running of this same race raceJockey Jockey Mangin arrived here Tuesday but was denied the privilege of riding as the suspension he incurred at Havana does not expire until May 1 1Ed Ed Moore will ship his entire stable of twelve head to Woodbine Park Toronto at the conclusion of this meeting
