RACING MATERIAL FOR OMAHA MEETING OMAHA Neb May 31 The interest in the coming meeting at AkSarBen Field is increasing daily and the five cottage barns comprising 140 stalls have been completed Together with the old barns this gives housing capacity for over 00 horses and at the rate at which they are arriving there will probably be that many on the grounds opening day The entries to the two stakes scheduled have been good and there will probably be twelve starters in each comprising such horses as Rifle of the C B Irwin string Irwiu has aliout twenty five horses quartered at AkSarBen Field Lady in Jlack and Phronu Ward owned by Nels B Updike owner of the Omaha Bee Mr Updike is gathering together a small but select siring of racers An express car containing fifteen horses arrived from Louisville and among them are Brig of War Byrne and Benefactor The stand at Omaha is one of the best appointed grandstands in the country constructed of steel and with a seating capacity of 10000 people Judge peopleJudge Martin Natlianson of Chicago will preside at the meeting
