SUIT OVER COLT PLAYFELLOW S C Hildreth Seeks to Recover 100000 Paid for Brother to Man o War NEW YORK N Y June 28 S C Hildreth announced today that he will enter suit against James F Johnson owner of the Quincy Stable for recovery of 100000 paid to that establishment for Playfellow the threeyearold brother to Man o War WarHildreth Hildreth will base his suit upon the allegation that the colt is a wind sucker and that the Bale was made under misreprsentation misreprsentationWhile While I believe that Playfellow is worth the price paid for him as a stock horse said Mr Hil ¬ dreth there is a question of principle involved I asked especially at the time of closing the deal for the colt if lie had any bad stable habitH and was informed that he had not It was with this understanding that I consummated the deal for his transfer from the Quincy Stable to the Rancocas Stable StableJames James Fitzsimmons trainer of the Quincy Stable horses asserts that Playfellow was not addicted to wind sucking while in his stable and is at a loss to account for the charges of Hildreth HildrethI I believe said Mr Fitzsimmons that the Rancoeas Stable obtained in Playfellow a cheap horse although the price paid for him was a large one and had Mr Johnson been a man of Mr Sin ¬ clairs wealth I never would have counseled to part with Playfellow PlayfellowMr Mr Hildreth asked about his stable habits at the time of the sale and I told him that he had no bad ones He had none to my knowledge I believe him to be the best threeyearold in the country today
