Start good and slow. "Won driving; second and third the same. DIADEMA began quickly and, after racing CARETAKER into defeat, hung on resolutely in a hard drive through the linal eighth. DREAM OF ALLAH was shuttled back soon after the start, but soon moved up with a rush and was slowly wearing the winner down at the end. MARTHA FALLON closed up ground steadily. AVOLFS CRY ran well. CHIEF SPONSOR swerved over toward the inner rail at the start, then set a fast pace, but could not withstand the challenge of the winner. AAITCH FLOAAER raced forward!- and finished gamely. EXTERMINATOR was in close quarters in the early running and closed up witli a rush on the outside in the final quarter. THE PORTER rah well and had no mishaps. BILLY KELLY was choked and tired under restraining tactics. GOLDEN SPHERE raced into the lead on the backstretch, but failed to stay.
