Won driving; second, and third the same. SALVO went to the front with a rush, raced FLAME into early defeat, saved ground on all the turns and held ANTIPHON safe in the final drive. The latter raced into a contending position from the start and made a threatening challenge in the stretch, but failed to quite get up. YORKIST moved u with a rush after leaving the. half-mile ground, but came extremely wide when entering the stretch and was tiring at the end. Won easily; second and third driving. PHOTOPLAY, suddenly improved, set a fast early pace and was taken back when entering the stretch and, taking the lead again when, called on, won eased up. STAR TIME was a forward contender from the start and finished gamely. COMMANDER COLIN closed a gap gamely and held PEACE PAL safe at the end. The latter ran well. EDDIE RICKENBACHER raced behind CARMANDAI.E while, going down the backstretch and, raking the lead when the latter tired on the stretch turn, gamely held MISS JEMIMA safe at the finish. The latter was shullled back at the start and was forced to come on the outside on the stretch turn, bilt almost got up in a fast finish. MILKMAID was fractious at the barrier, but finished fastest of all. DAYDUE stumbled when making his challenge ajid ran a good race. ESTERO and DELLAHM had ho chalice after the start. Scratched 55533. The latter began slowly and was far back in the early running, but was brought on the outside of the leaders into the stretch and finished with a rush. RE SURE was a forward contender all the way and made a game finish. AVABUSKA quit. LOAAELL unseated his rider and ran away three miles. BENEVOLENT began slowly, but moved up gradually and finished with a rush on the outside. DR. JIM, w;as much used in chas.ng the winner and. tiring, just lasted to hold third place.
