SON OF TRACERY A RECORD HOLDER LONDON, Kngland, July 23. The Liverpool Cup race of a mile and three-eights produced a new record for Knglish racing when Abbots Trace, by Traecry, the American sire, won it by eight lengths pulling up in 2:15, a new record for the distance, and less than a second slower than the time of the American champion Man o War made last year over one of the New. York courses. Abbots Trace was third choice and virtually won from start to finish. The cup favorite. Lord Derbys Bed Head, at 11 to t, with Donoghue in the saddle, was last in the race. The racing ground was hard, owing to the continued drought. A gTcat crowd was in attendance and the weather was hot and dull.
