NEXT YEARS RACING HOPES j Big Band of Fine Yearlings Being Broken for J. N. Camden and Montfort Jones. LEXINGTON. Ky., -Inly -!.- J. C. Milam will have more two-year-olds from which to select racing material for 1011! than any other trainer who has his headquarters in Kentucky and, perhaps, more than any other in the entire country. Already there are at his stables on top of the bill facing the turn into the homestretch of the Kentucky Jockey Tubs track here twenty-four yearlings from J. X. Camdens Hartlaud Stud and four belonging to Milam himself, while there are twenty-two the property of Montfort Jones, now being broken at Kodes Estills farm and soon to join the others in boxes at the course. In addition to these there may be others to come, for it is known that Mr. Jones is in the market for colts that are considered to be tops. He has been asking prices on the entire output from certain establishments. The Camden yearlings have been highly complimented for their generally good appearance. They are. as a whole, well grown and reflect the good care and attention they have had from George Miller, formerly at Elmendorf, who is in charge of the horse production department at Camdens splendid Woodford County estate. Xot always, but usually, those who have been with the youngsters from the day of birth are able to select those which prove out best in racing, so it is interesting to have Millers estimate of the Hartlaud Stud yearlings ou the eve of their first lessons in the way of the course. His first choice is the bay colt by Light Brigade Discipline half sister to Sain, by Greenan, dam The Task, by Barcaldine. Discipline is the dam of Censure. Elmendorf and Anniversary, and Ibis is her first foal since Anniversary came in 1017. "This fellow lias much about him that reminds me of Sain," said Miller, "and I predict for him, barring accidents, of course, a great future." His second choice is the brother to Fair Phantom, a well-made, highly attractive bay colt by Light Brigade Bellitn, by Ben Brush.
