Second Thoughts the fleet and consistent daughter of Ultimus Lydia II.. which races under the colors of E. F. Whitney, was an easy winner of the Cadillac Hotel Handicap, which was offered as the feature race this afternoon. Johnny Dundee ran second and third was the best that John Finn could do. A field of seven cantered to the post, there beiig but two withdrawals; the stable companions to the winner Caretaker and Clansman. There was a short delay at the post before the field was dispatched to a good start. Parrington took his mount to the front witli a rush and setting a good pace under restraint easily held her opponents safe all the way. Johnny Dundee was always in close pursuit of the winner, while John Finn was on the inside s;nil racing in close quarters. When straightening out for tiie rush home Second Thoughts maintained her advantage while John Finn was closing up steadily and was wearing Johnny Dundee down.
