GOODWOODS STAKE RACING Service Kit Victor in the Famous Stewards Cup Results in Other Noted Races. LONDON", England. July 28. The Stewards Cup was run for at Goodwoud yesterday in blazing hot weather, on hard going ami with good attendance for a course at which the general public is not especially welcome. Service Kit won the famous nice. The favorite was Lord IMidbnderrys Orby horse Glanmcrin, with Donoghue up. Ho was 11 to 4 in the betting, ran a disappointing race and finished sixth. The two fastest horses in England, Tetra tenia and Orpheus, met in the King George Stakes at three-quarters of a mile. Only four started. The Goodwood Plate Handicap, S.I, 000 added, for three-year-olds and over at two miles and three-eighths, was won rather easily by C. K. Karons Arravale, 97. by Ardoon Lady Inn, from Mrs. Hardys Charleville, 112 pounds, eh. c, 4, by Charles OMalley Ladytown. Seven ran. The Ham Stakes, at three-quarters of a mile, for two-year-olds, was won by J. 15. Joels bay filly Stupidity, by Folymeliis or Sunstar Absurdity, with Dean second and Joels londoland third. The Kiehmond Stakes, for two-year-olds at three-quarters of a mile was taken after a fine race by Sol Joels Fodder, by Pommern Pink Clover, by a head from the odds-on favorite Lembaeh, which was giving Fodder 12 pounds. Lembaeh is one of the best of the years colts, by Lemberg Miss-Portland, owned by E. Moore. Only five ran. The Gratwicke Stakes, at one and a half miles, fell to Sir J. Kuchans chestnut colt Cask, 3, by Polymelus Cheshire Cat. The Singleton Handicap, at five-eighths, was taken by Parella, a chestnut fily by Orby Pnrta-mante, owned by C. C. Hatry- Firefiend, J. P.. Joels chestnut filly by Torloisk Firewitch. won the ,.100 Lavant Stakes at five-eighths. Unison was second and Marshall Fields Cistercian, by Friar Marcus Cissy Drown, was third. Suublaze, chestnut colt, 3 by Sunstar Almoner, owned by Lionel Kobhison, won the Sussex Stakes over the New Mile.
