TWICE IN TWO DAYS FOR SEDGEGRASS MONTRKAL, Que.. August 1.". IT. W. Ranies Sedgegrass made a show of her opponents in the Viauville Handicap, which featured the card at King Kdward Park today. She was never headed and was only cantering at tlie end to beat Hattic Willdo and Miss Holland, while Marmite was beaten off. The latter has probably gone stale. It marked the second victory in as many days for the Rarnes filly. Fancier, a recent arrival from New York, made his debut in the initial dasli and beat an ordinary band of three-year-old maidens with ease. The races again were run over a heavy track, and form flips were again in order. Sand River II. has been gelded and will be out of training for some time. At the conclusion of this meeting jockey It. Rail will leave for his home in New York, prior to going to tlie Brie fair meeting. RIair Mock reports that the good Canadian-bred Stunlee is in bad condition and unlikely to survive a severe illness. R. Stickney has purchased the two-year-old Flying Reauty from II. Oots and she is now quartered in the stable of her new owner here.
