ANOTHER FOR STAR REALM Beats Irish Jig Narrowly in Main Race at Thorncliffe Interesting and Thrilling Sport. TORONTO. Ont., September 10. After going extremely wide entering the stretcli William Walkers Star Realm scored his second success of the meeting -when lie annexed the fourth race, which attracted the best field at Thorncliffe Park this afternoon. lie led ids opponents by a comfortable margin coming to the Hun for home, where he went Avide, then came again in the final eighth and outgamed Irish Jig. Breeze was a bang-up third. The disappointment in this race -was the inferior performance of Incog, which finished last of all. Close and exciting finishes featured the sport, which was -witnessed by an excellent crowd for a Monday. The proverbial blanket would have covered the first four horses at the finish in the sixth race. Cavalcadour II. barely lasted to earn the decision from Austral, -which finished with a wonderful burst of speed through the stretch. Grass Tree, a son of Short Grass, graduated from the maiden ranks when he made a show of the other two-year-olds in the initial dash. Lady Felix also made a runaway affair of the second race, for Canadian-breds. but it was only after a driving finish that Sister Susie beat Whalebone iu the third and Lazy Lou -was forced to a drive to catch Thos. F. McMahon in the fifth, in winch she came from a long way back in the stretch. Running in the colors of W. C. Wennt for the first time Roisterer captured the concluding race in a drive from Azrael. After the running of the race Roisterer went back to the barn of G. Atkinson via the claiming route for .,800. Weant took the horse from Atkinson after ins previous race here. Geo. T. Miller announced today that he has closed with the promoters of the winter meeting to he given at Mexico City this winter to do the starting there.
