DATE FOR F0XHALL FARM CUP RACE NEW YORK, N. Y., September 20. The scconn running of the Foxhall Farm Challenge Cup for hunt teams will take place at Foxhall P. Kcenes Foxhall Farm in Maryland on October 29. The value of the trophy and the conditions of the contest make this one of the leading events of t!ie stoeplechasiug season. It is strictly an amateur affair, with no money at stake, but a cup costing ,000, donated by Mr. Kcchc, for teams of three horses representing recognized hunt clubs and ridden by amateur or army officers, four miles out over a natural and beautiful country, with fences the stiffest and streams the broadest, to thoroughly test the endurance and racing ability of horses and riders. The cup will be awarded to the team, all three finishing, that has the lowest score as compiled from the order in which the horses finish. The inaugural race last year attracted hunting folk from Long Island, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Virginia, and its repetition is expected to call together another large and fashionable i crowd.
