GOLDEN CORNS EXCELLENCE Marshall Fields Two-Year-Old Filly Descends from Line of Illustrious Ancestors. Marshall Field is the proud owner of one of the best two-year-olds in England in Golden Corn, by Golden Sun Corn Cockle, bred by Captain R. B. Brassey. Her latest feat was a smashing victory in the Champagne Stakes nt Doncuster Wednesday. She lias started in four races and won three of them. After running second to Prima Donna on her first appearance in the Knavesmire Maiden Two-year-old Plate, run at York May 23, she was taken to Newmarket, where, on July 1, she won the Fulbourne Stakes, wortli ,300, from a field of thirteen starters. Golden Corns third race was at York on August 25, when she won the Prince of Wales Plate, worth ,000, carrying a burden of 131 pounds and beating iier opponents as she pleased. The five-line pedigree published herewith shows whence comes her speed and stamina.
