Won easily; second and third driving. TALISMAN was favored by the soft going and, racing into the lead on the last turn, won going away. ORLOVA closed up ground steadily and finished fast and gamely., CINDERELLA. closed a big gap in the last quarter after making a slpw beginning. REDMON set the early pace, but swerved out in the stretch when tiring, costing him second place. RUBY tired. RISING ROCK quit in the stretch. Won easily; second and third driving. P.IT, in good present form, gained steadily from a slow beginning while racing Wide on the turns and, taking the lead in the last sixteenth, won going away. NONSKID was kept well up all the way and, being hard ridden, outstayed ALEX JR. The latter was humped at the start ahd tired alter racing into the lead. VIRGO ran well, but tired in the last sixteenth. MELVIN was going fast at the end. WAVE also finished well. BRITISH LINER quit. BROOKHOLT was forced to race wide all the way and came with a rush when clear. DR. CLARK ran a fast half and dropped back in the stretch.
