Won easily; second and third driving. BOUNTIFUL was saved close in the early running and moved up with a rush after entering the stretch and, passing .CHAMPLAIN, won going away.. CHAMPLAIN began. quickly and showed the most early speed, but tired when challenged. ALL FAIR ran well and finished gamely. CAR-MENCITA raced well. TOM CASSIDY was knocked back right after the start. STANLEY raced close up all the way and, finishing with a rush, was wearing the winner down. CANSO closed a big gap from a slow beginning. RAILBIRD ran well. THEODOSIA took a quick lead and, setting a good puce under restraint, won easing up. MOSE was a forward contender for the entire race and outstayed BODANZICY in the final strides. The latter was much used in chasing the winner closely and tired. PEGGY RIVES was in a jam while going to the first turn and, closing a gap, finished with a rush. CHIEF only ran fairly well. BYGONE DAYS was on the outside for the entire race and finished with a rush. POLLY ANN began slowly, but closed a big gap and outgaraed SERAPIS at the end.
