LAUREL FALL MEETING BEGINS TODAY LAUREL, Md., October 3. Beautiful Laurel Park, with all the recent improvements completed and everything spick and span, will throw open its gates tomorrow for the autumn meeting of the Maryland State Fair. Main fell today and he track will be heavy for the inaugural days sport. Despite ih;-unfavorable weather conditions the splendid opening program holds forth the promise of some excellent racing. The Capital Handicap of ,000 added has an entry list of metropolitan appearance, with such cracks as Billy Kelly, Trysteiv Crocus, Tippity Witchet, Crank, Careful and Captain Aleock among its overnight acceptances. It should provide a great race. There will be no scarcity of horses for the racing here, the consignment coming from Havre de Grace being augumented by recent arrivals from New York and Canada. Altogether the outlook was never more favorable for a graud meeting -at Laurel Park.
