COLD WEATHER AND RAIN AT KEMPTON MONTREAL, Que., October 3. J. N. Sheas consistent gelding Glenn was returned an easy winner in the Victoria Handicap, a five and a half furlong all aged dash, which featured a poor card at Kempton Park this afternoon. Glenn overhauled the others In the backstretch and drew into an easy lead. Propaganda outlasted the speedy Pepper Tea for second place. Decidedly cold weather and a downpour of rain early in the afternoon kept the crowd down to minimum proportions. The veteran racer Liberator refused to go to the barrier for the third race, standing near the paddock despite all efforts to move him. The field was finally dispatched without him. Before tlio race was over and after ids rider had dismounted Liberator ran away and dashed into his own stall In one of the barns. It was . stated by the track management that the meeting would be a heavy loser financially, probably to the extent of 0,000.
