YOWELL, close up from the start, wore the leaders down after rounding the last turn and, easily racing into the lead in the last quarter, drew away fast in the last eighth. ANMUT was far back to the stretch turn and finished with a great burst of speed. JUNE FLY ran well and outgamed HEATH HELL in the final drive. STAR REALM ran wide on the first turn and raced into a good lead on the far turn, Int ran out on the last turn, finishing next to the extreme outer mil.
