COMIC SONG set a fast early pace, but could not withstand the Winners challenge. MODESTY, prominent from the start, finished gamolv and outstayed KNOT GRASS. The latter was. hard ridden throughout and raced Well. BKLLATRIX tired. BAYONNE was crowded back and had little chance. LENJOLEUR ran well, linished gamely and outgamed FAVOUR. The latter, off forwardly, displayed the mOst early speed, but was much used in racing SADDLE RING into defeat and tired. SADDLE RING raced into the lead, but tired badly after going three-quarters of a mile. LA KROSS was sideways at the start.
