FAMOUS OLD GRAVESEND TRACK SOLD NEW YORK. N. Y., October S. Announcement was made today that the Gravcsend track has been sold to Wrood, Harmon and. Company, who will subdivide the property into building lots. There has been no racing at Gravcsend since 190S. From 18S0 to that date the old track was the scene of some of the best racing on the continent. The track had an enviable reputation for honesty and fair dealing under the management of the late Philip J. Dwyer. The Bard and Hanover ran their best races over tho Gravcsend course. The track is now the center of a populous district and the property has much increased in value. It was originally pirchased for 75,000.
