AKIN was outpaced in the early running, but gained .steadily in the last quarter and, under hard riding, wore RUBY down in the last seventy yards to win drawing clear. RUBY was made much use of in early paccmakiug and disposing of TALISMAN, but tired slightly near the end. COTTON BLOSSOM .finished with a good display of speed and was going fastest at the cud. WAR PRIZE ran well. TALISMAN raced into a brief lead, but quit badly in the, stretch. RAPID STRIDE was going fat and seeming the probable winner when bumped by FURBELOW. MON: SOON had no mishaps.
