The Cesaiewitch Stakes, a handicap of 25 each, with ,000 added, ?1,500 to second. 00 to third; value about 5,-000; 125 entries; for three-year-olds and over; Cesarewitch course, two and one-quarter miles, was decided at Newmarket Wednesday, in dull weather, and resulted as follows: Mrs. R. Burnleys Yutoi, b. c, 4, by Santoi She 117 pounds; Jelliss; 100 to 8 1 Mrs. F. Hardys Charleville, ch. c, 4, by Charles OMalley Ladytown 112 pounds; Bullock; 40 to 1 2 Lord Derbys Harrier, b. c, 4, by Harry of Hereford Altcar 116 pounds; Donoghuc; 6 to 1.. 3 W. Cookes Devizei, b. c, 4, by Valens Deslloni 114 pounds, Spear; 15 to 2 C There were seventeen starters. The track was exceedingly fast and the race was a fine one to witness. Yutoi, which carried top weight, won by four lengths and finished easing up. Five lengths separated second and third. Sir A. Baileys Tishy, the favorite, ran well for ibout a half mile, after which the daughter of Son-in-Law gradually dropped back. Tishy was ridden by Weston and carried overweight. G. Dodds Money Glass raced prominently and only failed in the last quarter of a mile. Charleville, which ran second, was strongly backed by his owner to take a place. Time, 3:49. Tishy was quoted at 6 to 1 and 7 to 1 was quoted on the Held. The Select Stakes of 5 each, with ,500 added, for three -year-olds and over at. one mile, was won by Lord Astors Plymstock, b. f, 3, by Polymelus Winkipop, carrying 116 pounds. Sir H. Cunliffe-Owens Orpheus, ch. c, 4, by Orby Electra, which carried 134 pounds, was favorite at 6 to 1 on. He was beaten by ten lengths. His rider had him under restraint and he was beaten by Plymstock in the last hundred yards. The Cheveley Park Stakes of 00 each, with ,000 added, for two-year-old fillies, run over the Bretby Stakes course at three-quarters of a mile, was won by Lord Derbys Selene, b. f, by Chaucer Serenissima. Twostep was second and Invergarry third.
