FINERY ran a good race and outgamed MARYLAND BELLE in the final drive. The latter came fast through the stretch. LITTLE BLACK SHEKP set a fast early pace, but tired when challenged. The latter was outrun for the first half, but worked his way up gamely and finished fast. PEGGY HIVES raced gamely and finished close up. SUNROSE tired in the final drive. CALIGULA, inconsistent, but away well and well ridden throughout, was taken back and saved until entering the homestretch and. coming on fast, caught the leaders at. the eighth post and won going away. OIL MAN showed the most speed and. making the pace fast, lost ground by coming wide on the hi retch turn, but finished gamely and outstayed SAILING B. at the end. The latler raced on the outside of OIL MAN and was forced wide when the latter ran out,, but ran a good race and probably was best. VIBRATE was always outpaced. Overweights Vibrate, y pounds. ORIOLE was rushed into, the lead and showed great speed, but canie wide when r-ntering the homestretch and could not withstand the rush of the winner. DARK HORSE was outpaced by the first two, but ran a game race. DUC DE MORNY ran poorly. CLARKSOX showed a flash of early speed.
